Typography for branding: Sogrape world wines

In this conceptual design, I’m designing both the label and secondary packaging for SOGRAPE WORLD WINES. Sogrape is a brand that enhances and emphasizes the wine making process, by attaching it to the history of how wine is made. As they a branching into other parts of the world, it is important to carry on with this tradition.

The design primarily incorporates a combination of traditional and modern. I will be designing for the non alcoholic version of the four wines from Sogrape; Bordeaux, Barolo, Porto and Albarino.
The concept of the design centres around the incorporation of something new to the Sogrape brand.
Porto Colour Palette
Barolo Colour Palette
Bordeaux/Merlot Colour Palette
Albarino Colour Palette
All the colour palettes used have a strong contrast between light and dark colours, which assists with readability.
Sogrape logo and Sub Brand Type set

I used the Gelica font for the Sub brand world wines. The font pairs well with the Sogrape logo. I stacked the sub brand below the logo, the overall design of the type set is minimal and goes with my overall label design.
Final Label Flat lays

The label combines both modern and traditional. To achieve this, I used two different fonts and combined them; Brandon Grotesque which is a modern font and Baskerville which is a traditional font. The rest of the design is minimal, with the colour changing for the different wine varieties.
Box Dieline
Final box with typography

The typography on the box resembles that of the label, however the typography is split over two corners of the box. The colours are exactly the same as the labels.
